  •   Peanut butter is effective for cleaning chewing gum that is stuck to your hair.
  • Charcoal briquettes are more effective than baking soda for removing odours in a refrigerator.
  • Petroleum jelly prevents rust.
  •  Milk polishes leather.
  • Ammonia cleans the oven.
  • Lemon juice takes away the ink stains.
  • Vegetable shortening removes lipstick stains.
  • Tarnish on the silver can be removed by soaking the piece of silver in a solution of half a cup of white vinegar and two tablespoons of baking soda for two to three hours and rinsing it and drying it.

    1  Dry swallowing ' teaspoon of sugar' can commonly cure hiccups.

   2   For small burns - apply mashed tomato on the affected part .

   3 For relief from gas problems , drink a cup of water mixed with the juice of half a lemon, half a teaspoon of black pepper powder and half a teaspoon of black salt .

   4   To clear the throat and hoarsness in voice , eating little pieces of black pepper along with ghee and rock sugar will be helpful.

  5 Chewing four or five black pepper along with fifteen raisins will give relief from cough.
