Some Don’t s after meals
- No tea immediately after meals. Tea leaves, acidic in nature when mixed with proteins in the food make the proteins, and the digestion hard.
- No cold water because after taking meals, our body temperature is high, and when the stomach is digesting the food, the intake of cold water destroys the heat needed for digestion. To quench the thirst if the need be, little luke warm water can be taken in between or after the meals.
- For the same reason, immediate bath after meals is not advised.
- Immediate sleep is not good after dinner. Two to three hours gap is recommended. But a little nap sometime after the meals in daytime is considered to be good.
- No fresh fruit immediately after meals, as they produce gas in the stomach. If there occurs a necessity, you can chew little cardamom or fennel seeds.
- Smoking immediately after taking food is ten times harmful to health .
